Jacqueline Montanez is serving a life without chance of parole sentence for the murder of Hecotr Reyes and Jimmy Cruz. She has been behind bars for most of her life, having been incacrcerated since 1992. Rather than give in to bitterness or self-pity she has reached out to youth in a unique program to have them write in journals to her and she responds with lessons from her life. She gives added weight to her insightful words; " I did what they said i did, but I'm not who they say I am."

Read her words on her program and judge for yourself whether this remarkable young woman deserves a second chance.
